OUR GOALS
Kaizen of Self™ is a key element of our teachings that develop the mindset to deliberately pursue incremental growth from within the individual. The word kaizen (改善) consists of two Japanese characters. The word "kai (改)" means change, new or reform; "zen(善)" means good, right or moral. Together it means to change for the better.
For business, the concept of kaizen (continuous improvement) was introduced in the mid 20th century. This idea was originally developed for use by many firms, specifically in the fields of manufacturing and supply chain management. We adopted this philosophy to mean the improvement of the human condition as well.
THE LIFE® METHOD
It all starts with a simple questionnaire we call the Life Improvement Tool™ (LIT). We employed the Likert scale rating system to develop our initial assessment, from this we gain an insight into who you are as a person and areas we can help you improve. LIT produces a comprehensive understanding and serves as the foundation for which to focus the LIFE® coaching services.

Intra-rater and inter-rater approaches are employed to analyze results.
Intra:
One person interviews the client.
One person performs the questioning, another may be observing and notetaking.
Inter:
Multiple people review the client’s information.
Multiple people examine and evaluate results to provide peer-reviewed feedback.
We created an introductory questionnaire using the Likert scale rating system, from this, we gain a comprehensive understanding that serves to identify key areas of improvement. Furthermore, we utilize a combination of analytic and holistic assessments to provide a thorough understanding of every individual. In addition, our tests were designed using a meta-rubric with reliability and validity being key factors. We also researched pedagogy to understand how to best present information and develop our systematic approach to reasoning.
